In the heart of historic Burgundy - Bourgogne

Description

In the heart of historic Burgundy, on the Vézelay hill, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, awaits you in a 17th century house; very beautiful volumes to develop with an architecture of character. On the ground floor, two large rooms have magnificent half-timbered walls and fireplaces, one with terracotta tiles; the third large room will make a very large kitchen-dining room with its fireplace. There is also a bathroom adjoining the bedroom. In the basement, since the 12th century, a spectacular and recently renovated vaulted room has stood. Its volume, its magnificent fireplace, its stone columns and its sculpted capitals bear witness to the prestigious past of this internationally renowned Burgundy village, and to the exceptional character of this room which has survived the centuries. It is accessible by two staircases: one from the entrance and the other from an exterior door, which has enabled it to accommodate pilgrims, and more recently conferences. The attic has two bedrooms and there is an area of around 60 m2 to be fitted out, with the possibility of keeping the cathedral ceiling. The space is very healthy and the roof has been recently redone. All these volumes can be arranged in different ways. We can imagine having a workshop in the attic, under the huge frame, and transforming the vaulted room into an exhibition, conference or concert venue, etc. Lovers of Vézelay and houses of character will be visibly inspired.
